Ubiquinol is a reduced, or active, form of the antioxidant coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Many supplements present CoQ10 in its ubiquinone form, which is then reduced, or converted, by our bodies to ubiquinol. This is the form of CoQ10 your body actively uses for energy production and antioxidant protection. Unfortunately, this conversion process becomes less efficient with age.
