Glucosamine Sulfate
Glucosamine is a naturally-occurring substance found in high amounts in joint and spine cartilage, ligaments, tendons, mucus membranes, blood vessels and eyes. It is an important precursor for the synthesis and maintenance of connective tissue, including cartilage. It supports the maintenance of healthy joints and is commonly used by people whose joints have experienced heavy use, such as in sports, physical labor, or aging.*
Glucosamine sulfate is well-absorbed, and is the most-researched form of glucosamine, an important precursor for the synthesis and maintenance of connective tissues.
Glucosamine for Joint Support
Many studies, including double blind placebo controlled trials, have clearly shown that glucosamine sulfate supplementation benefits osteoarthritis as it helps to:
- Prevent the narrowing of the inter-joint spaces
- Reduce joint swelling
- Reduce pain, comparable to NSAIDs such as ibuprofen
